MINT - WHO WE ARE
MINT’S Founder and Principal Consultant is Munene Khoza. She has extensive experience in providing strategic communications and project management counsel to clients across several industries. She is well-versed in the development and execution of integrated communications and stakeholder engagement plans, skills which she sharpened during her tenure at global public relations consultancy, Hill+Knowlton Strategies.
Prior to her specialisation in communications, Munene gained invaluable project experience at Accenture South Africa’s Strategy practice, working with clients in Mining and Financial Services to effectively manage people through medium-to-large-scale organisational and system changes.
She is passionate about empowering people and organisations through language, an interest she explored in depth as part of her studies. She holds an MA in Language and Linguistics from Lancaster University (UK) and a BA (Hons) in English Studies and Film & Media from the University of Stirling (UK).

Chantal Meugens is an experienced writer, copy editor, proofreader, content developer, social media manager and trainer in all aspects of communication including writing, stakeholder relations and social media. She is also qualified in teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL).
Chantal has worked in public relations and communications for over 11 years. She has edited and proofread annual reports, newsletters, various other reports, websites, speeches and articles for blue-chip companies, NGOs, small businesses, individuals as well as government departments.
In addition to her own freelancing pursuits, Chantal collaborates with MINT Language Consultancy on a project basis.
Richard has worked as a high school English Language Educator for over six years at prestigious schools such as St. Stithians College, Lebone II – College of the Royal Bafokeng and Somerset College in Cape Town. He has recently broadened his scope to include academic and corporate proofreading and copywriting. Richard is well-versed in copy editing and proofreading creative assets as well as writing copy for various marketing collateral.
He currently balances his time between being Director of Culture and a Dramatic Arts teacher at the prestigious St Stithians Girls’ College and freelancing for MINT Language Consultancy. He also heads up the English Department at Thandulwazi Maths & Science Academy, a pioneering initiative of St Stithians College that provides educational growth opportunities for students and teachers based in public schools in greater Johannesburg.
